The presence of harmonics (waveform distortion) in power supply has proliferated with the increasing application of power semiconductor devices used in electronic equipment in industry, commerce and the home. Harmonic distortion problems include equipment overheating, motor failures, capacitor fuse blowings and inaccurate power metering. The authors of this book take the reader through time and frequency domain simulation, the standard Fourier analysis requirements, identification of earth and conductor impedances etc., which need to be used for reliable, direct solutions.
